Today I was informed that my boss was being fired. That means major changes for our office. I’ve been assured that I still have a job and I’ll be continuing my current functions, but I was also told that they haven’t had a chance to figure out all the ramifications of this change.

I love my boss. She is by the best supervisor I’ve ever had. She exemplifies honesty, loyalty, and integrity. She genuinely cares for each of her employees, and treats us with respect. I am proud to work for her because I know that everything she does is out of the best intentions for the institution and not political games for the betterment of her office. She has completely ruined me for working for anyone else, because there are few people I respect as much as I respect her.

Batten the hatches, mateys. It be rough seas ahead.

I’m sorry to here about this. My work is in much the same position. We have just had government mandated school division amalgamations. We were a division with 13 schools and not we are a division with 45 schools.

According to the education act a teacher can be transferred to any school in their division. Corner to corner its a 3 hour drive. My old division would never transfer someone against their wishes, the new division has not reestablished that policy. So everything here is very uncertain as well.
