These days I identify myself as a Libertarian, which means I generally sit back and watch the fire and vitriol between supporters of their candidates with a certain amount of academic disinterest. But this? This scares the hell out of me.

This is totally unverified, but pretty believeable. I read that the original Wall Street bailout bill that was submitted to Congress was 2 pages long. The one that was eventually voted on, and voted down, was 100 pages long.
