We feel it is one of the best hospitals systems for Children. Sometimes we feel we should do more for children but when it come to pay the bills well the funds are just not there. Everyone knows the cost of health care keeps going up. the medicine & materials, the staff, taxes, maintance, transportation, research,etc. The first hospital opened 87 years ago so some of the hospitals are due to be updated or rebuilt and that also takes money. The systems does not take government or insurance money all services for the children are at no cost to them or their family. but you know that because you have a link to the website. The Shriners Hospitals for Children have always been supported by the members Shriners of North America fraternity with a few donation from family or friend of children we have helped. Other than a few fund raisers like the East/West football game and the Justin Timberlake Golf Turnament. Last year is the first time we have openly gone to the public asking for help to suport the hospital system. Thank you as they say every dollar counts!
