Does this sound fishy to anyone else? I can see the point about setting off trade wars, but if this bailout is supposed to be pumping money into the economy then how does letting it go overseas help?

Protective Tariffs NEVER work! Plenty of historical precedence to back this up. Actually at the beginning of the Great Depression (yes Mrs. Pelosi, it was the Great Depression, because it was the worst in our nation’s history….is she blond or what?) our Congress passed several protective tariffs setting off trade wars with our biggest trading partners, hurting the world economy and our economy at home.
