I’ve got an action-packed week at work followed by vacation bible school immediately after work every night this week. So you’ve had fair warning; posts may be kinda slim.
That being said, definitely take a few minutes to read idiotprogrammer’s post on the perils of mandatory arbitration and follow his links. Unfortunately, all too often as consumers we’re presented boilerplate contracts and given the choice of accepting all the terms, no matter how ridiculous, or rejecting the product or service you wanted to buy. Credit card companies are a prime example, and idiotprogramer links to a Business Week called Banks vs. Consumers (Guess Who Wins). While the title does a nice job of summing it up, the contents of the article itself will leave you with disgust.
