I’d start by saying I’m not crazy, but of course you’d expect me to say that.

I could swear that a year or two ago I read an article that referenced the differnce between the gasoline you buy at the big chains like Exxon and the gas you buy at discount chains like Wal-Mart or your grocery store. From what I remember, the gas from the chains was processed differently such that it burned cleaner and thus was better for the environment and led to better gas milage.

I’ve been looking for something to back that up and am coming up with zilch. IS there any difference? One can usually save $0.05 or more a gallon at one of the discount chains, so I’m curious as to whether there’s a documented difference in the quality of gas. Help me interweb, you’re my only hope!

About Flametoad

Flametoad is the personal website for Preston DuBose, a full-time e-commerce and credit card security professional for the higher-education market, a part-time RPG publisher, and a full-time husband and father.

I ignore conventional blogging wisdom and refuse to focus on a single topic. This website covers gaming, family life, marketing, security, literature, music, and just about anything else shiny that catches my eye.

Do you think I might be your long lost nephew, to whom you'd like to bequeath your vast financial empire? Find my e-mail address and read more of my bio on the About Flametoad page.

I get a small thrill every time someone bothers to respond to one of my posts. I get a big thrill when you post naked pictures of yourself. Well, not YOU.
