Many of you read Flametoad vis RSS, and others of you read this on LiveJournal. For those of you who actually visit Flametoad.com, you’ve had the option of filtering the types of articles based on particular categories I set up a number of years ago. You can see those categories on the right. Lately I’ve been wondering if it’s time to revise those categories. I used to post advertising related articles on a regular basis. I also talked about podcasts. While I still listen to them, I don’t talk about them so much anymore. These days I find myself labling most posts as either miscellaneous or “seen on the net.”
So here’s my question to you. Should I revise the catagories? What categories do you think I should add? I also use tags, so does that make categories superfluous? Does anyone even care?
I pretty much follow the feed via LJ so I don’t see the categories when new posts come up. If I want to comment I just follow the link back to the site and go from there.
I don’t use RSS or LiveJournal. Instead I just come on by the main page when time allows.
I also don’t pay any attention to categories. I’ll browse through all the posts in turn until I get to one I already saw, then stop.
What does this signify? It means I’m probably the last person you should ask for advice concerning blog format since I’m a posts-in-a-row kind of guy.
