By now I’ve been to four or five other sessions today, so my note-taking is going to start becoming more brief. Furthermore, I have handouts of the presentation so I don’t need to copy as much from the screen.
We in higher ed only about halfway through the millennial generation.
Due to demographics, in the next few years admissions are about to take a dip.
Helicopter parents are becoming “stealth parents” in the background but not necessarily so visible to higher ed admins.
Now the challenge with Admissions is limiting which the web-related activities to use—deciding which things to drop and which can be done effectively/cheaply/most value.
Search for “Facebook parody” on YouTube. Also “authenticity”
Students want IM with a real person on our sites, but very few offer the option.
Language has to be authentic. People filter out marketing speak.
