Be My Hero

Posted Tuesday, October 3rd, 2006 at 2:42 pm

Having two tadpoles around the house means I don’t get to watch any TV shows uninterrupted unless they come on after 9 pm (Central time). Nor do I own a DVR. That means I don’t watch a whole lot of TV. What I watch tends to be the season collections on DVD, such as Battlestar Galactica or Family Guy, for instance. However, I’m really interested in seeing the new NBC show Hero without waiting an entire season for the DVD set to come out. Unfortunately, it comes on at 8 pm my time. Here’s where I ask you, my 5 loyal readers, to come to my rescue. Does anyone know if this show is available through iTunes or another legal download source. Yes, I know all about BitTorrent. I’m looking for legal downloads. Help me interweb, you’re my only hope.

Last year NBC replaced each episode with the latest one so maybe in a day or two you will get to see episode 2?

Looks to be a good show. The pilot ran really fast because they had so many hereos to cover. It will be interesting to see where they go with it. Hopefully it won’t go the way of Surface or Invasion.

Also you should “tape” errr record Jericho. Very cool stuff. Not as deep as Lost, better than the 2 I mentioned above from last season.

Oh and did you get to the end of season 2 Battlestar yet!?! I can’t wiat to hear your reaction. That was the most dramatic turn I have ever seen a series take. Very cool.

Oh, so that means I’d better watch the pilot ASAP before they take it down?

I’m halfway through season 2 of BSG. The second half of the DVDs just came out and Netflix lists them as a “long wait”, which is unusual. I just watched Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. If I don’t get BSG, then it looks like disc 2 of Family Guy will be coming my way.

I have hero #2 recorded on my DVR, if you would like to watch it or bring a vhs tape for me to record it for you when I watch it.

Right you are!. Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, brown-outs here last night kept me from catching the pilot on the NBC site. I hope it shows up on iTunes, too. If I can get caught up, I’ll start using my [shudder] VCR to record the show and watch it after the kids go to bed.

And welcome to Flametoad, Lisa. Congrats on having your World of Lisacraft mentioned over on the Dragon’s Landing Inn. I hope you find enough amusement here to keep coming back.
