Finally, Something Relevant

08.09.05 | 3 Comments

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted anything other than links. As I’ve said before, that’s a sign of my being extremely busy. Don’t get me wrong. I’m still extremely busy. I’m just procrastinating.

Where do I even begin? So much has happened lately. I moved 85 miles. In July. In Texas. I think you get the idea. Fortunately I had the help of several friends and we managed to survive the experience. Of course our love seat wasn’t so lucky, but those are the breaks. The strong survive and the weak fly off the back of the pickup truck.

Spent the following week (that was last week) on “vacation” unpacking and generally trying to recover. Based on the number of boxes still littering the house, it must have been more of the latter than the former. Looking back, it just feels like a long weekend. Where does the time go? We’re displeased with how daycare is (not) helping Ben adjust to the change, so we’re looking around at alternatives. We got spoiled in Houston and didn’t realize it.

Kim wanted to see The Dukes of Hazard, so we did. I’m sorry. I don’t care if she’s dumb as dirt. Jessica Simpson is HAWT!

Kim is reading the new Harry Potter while I read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. I’m probably less than a third of the way through it, but so far I really like it. If I didn’t have so much else going on right now, I’d probably tear right through it.

Lots of stuff going on with 12 to Midnight. We’re sending Jerry to GenCon next week, so there’s a lot of preparation that has to be done for that. I’m about halfway through the Savage Worlds conversion of Brainwashed and Fear Effects. I’m also working on laying out the next issue of Modern Dispatch. Jerry has just finished writing a new adventure and is working on edits for Skinwalker. We’re gearing up to release Dirty Unicorn Games’ first product. And all of the above is just the tip of the iceberg. I really need to be doing this full time.

It would be really cool if we could do this full time. If we can generate $250,000 in sales on pdfs we can do this.

Which is like saying, “If I can sell $100/day from my lemonade stand…”
