Area 51, Meet Google Earth

11.21.05 | 3 Comments

I’ve been meaning to post this for a long time. Right after Google Maps added satellite images, someone checked out Area 51 and took some screen shots. Read it for yourself. If you have Google Earth installed, I’ve read that the coordinates are 37 degrees 14’22.55 degrees North and 115 degrees 48’37.62 degrees West.

Google Earth is pretty frightening. I could use this to land a mortar in anybody’s back yard. Imagine what a terrorist could do with a missle.

Well it’s not like the satellite photos are real time or anything. So the only real advantage I see it giving you is getting GPS coordinates without sending someone with a handheld unit to stand on the sidewalk out front.

And thats true for a missle launch. You get someone’s routine and hit them when they are usually there.
